The Boeing 737 is a popular medium-range, narrowbody commercial passenger jet aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 was launched in 1994 as a replacement of the 737-400. Many new improvements like more fuel efficient CFM56-7 turbofan engines, increased wingspan, increased fuel capacity, higher MTOW, redesigned vertical stabilizer and glass cockpit with modern avionics are standard on all Next Generation 737s.
Project Open Sky, is a freeware aircraft developer group that has been around for some time. They developed many aircraft models for FS2002 and FS2004, mostly Boeing aircraft. Their Boeing 737-800 is a highly detailed representation of its realworld counterpart. A few of the features are: Realistic flight dynamics, many high quality liveries, special animations like a moving pushback truck and airstairs, realistic gear suspention, advanced lift based flexing wings, and more.
The panel is optional and can be downloaded separately. There is also a version with a simple virtual cockpit. If you use the virtual cockpit model, you need to use the optional POSKY 737NG V1.1 Photo Realistic panel with it, because the vc will need the gauges. |
