Stewart Global Aircraft (SGA) / Vista Liners DC-9-40/50
FREEWARE
The McDonnell Douglas DC-9 is a short to medium range, narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft. The development project of the DC-9 launched in 1963 was intended as a short-range companion for the larger DC-8. The 70 seat DC-9-10 was the initial variant and entered service with launch customer Delta Air Lines in 1965. When the production of the DC-9 ended in 1982, a total of 976 DC-9 variants were built.

The SGA DC-9 is a good looking and frame rate friendly model. All the usual animations are present. The flight dynamics are quite good, its not very hard to control this aircraft, although the engine spool up time seems to be rather slow. The behavior of the main landing gear is realistic, but the retraction process seems to be too fast. Also, the thrust reverse is not very realistic, when the thrust reversers are engaged, N1 is going up all the way to 100% (should be something between 60-70% N1). With the wingfold command, the rear stairs extend.
