Jet City Aircraft McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series
PAYWARE
The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 is a short to medium range, narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft. The MD-80 is an improved development of the DC-9 and was fitted with new engines, a further stretched fuselage and increased wingspan. Initially the MD-80 was designated DC-9 Super 80 or DC-9-80, but this designation changed to MD-80 in 1983. The MD-80 designation is a generic designation for the series and doesn't apply to a certain model. The models in the MD-80 series are: MD-81, MD-82, MD-83 and MD-88. The first MD-80, a MD-81, was delivered to launch customer Swissair in September 1980. Currently American Airlines operates the largest number of MD-80s. The MD-80 remained in production until 1999.

Jet City Aircraft is a small developer of MS Flight Simulator add-ons. Their products are all members of the MD-80 family, from the DC-9-10 to the Boeing 717. These McDonnell Douglas MD-80 models are part of the "Jet City Collections: The MD-80 and MD-90" package. This package contains the MD-81/82/83/87/88/90 models and 2 liveries per model (more liveries can be downloaded for free).

No panel, virtual cockpit or sound is included, so you'll have to use the default panel/sound or download a panel/sound package yourself. Another option is to purchase the Lago Maddog which panel and sound can be used in combination with the Jet City Aircraft models. The flight dynamics are excellent and all animations are accurate. The exterior is very well shaped and the liveries are high quality. With the wingfold command, ground service vehicles show up around the aircraft.
