HJG/Vista Liners 727-100/200
review
The Boeing 727, sometimes called the "Whisperjet" (as a result of the rear-mounted turbofan jet engines, passengers seated forward in first class could actually hear each other whispering, which was quite unique in a time that hearing someone whispering aboard a jet plane was not possible due to loud engine noise), is a classic mid-size narrow-body trijet.
Vista Liners created this Boeing 727 (not SGA or FFX, those are older versions for FS2002). The about page of Vista Liners doesn't say much about them, at least not about their aircraft models, maybe about their way of looking at things......however, fact is that Vista Liners does develop high quality aircraft models. Their Boeing 727 is no exception, the model is beautifully designed and represents its real word counterpart well.
The flight dynamics are well balanced and all the usual animations are present. Special animations are: Opening cockpit windows (tail hook command) and opening airstairs (wing fold command) under the tail. The 727-200 version is a final model, while the 727-100 is still in beta version. There are many liveries available for the 727-200 version (see below).
For anyone who is thinking that the thrust reversers are not modeled: The engines of most Boeing 727's are equipped with thrust reversers that do not extend any part or flap, so its not a model flaw, its perfectly normal (the Super 27 version does have two md-80 engines, which are equiped with different thrust reversers, ones that are visible).

One minor correction: The wingflex is based on speed, vertical momentum, and inertia - not the landing gears.on 02/23/2009 at 16:26:03
Thanks, I've corrected it.on 02/26/2009 at 8:27:01
Hi, The panel for the B727 is not (yet) FSX compatible ... but who knows ... ;-)on 06/25/2009 at 17:12:17
I have downloaded their B727-200 in Braniff blue livery. The aircraft is simply beautiful!!! I can highly recommend it. Highly detailed model and not very large also.on 07/14/2009 at 2:51:29
I just thought I'd let people know that as of June 22nd there's a full set of marque-specific panels available, which work in FSX as well as in FS2004.on 08/24/2009 at 0:55:44
On the 727-200F does the cargo door open in FSX?Add a Comment
