FFX/SGA 737-200
review
The Boeing 737 is a popular medium-range, narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft. The 737-200 is an extended version of the initial version, the Boeing 737-100 which is the smallest of all 737 variants. Only 30 737-100s were ordered and delivered, none of them are in service or in airworthy condition anymore. Despite the poor fuel efficiency and high noise emissions of the Pratt & Whitney JT8D low-bypass ratio turbofan engines, many 737-200s are still in service of low cost airlines and in developing countries.
FFX/SGA developed a detailed and frame rate friendly 737-200 model for FS. The flight dynamics are well balanced and all usual animations are present.

notes
NOTE: For the smoke effect, you'll need the effect file "SMOKE_JT8D.fx". Click here to download it if you don't have it already. Or download the Vista Liners Basepack, the file is included in their package. Place it in the effects folder e.g.: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Effects\
The smoke effect does not work in FSX (It actually will, but the smoke will not appear at the right location behind the aircraft), so it is better to disable it if you're going to use this aircraft in FSX.
For the Bahamasair package:
Open the file 'Aircraft.cfg' with notepad (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Boeing 737-200 BahamasairOC\Aircraft.cfg).
Find these lines:
[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=-20.00,-3.50,-16.5, SMOKE_JT8D
smoke.1=-20.00,-3.50, 16.5, SMOKE_JT8D
Place '//' for each line like this:
//[SMOKESYSTEM]
//smoke.0=-20.00,-3.50,-16.5, SMOKE_JT8D
//smoke.1=-20.00,-3.50, 16.5, SMOKE_JT8D
Save the file.
For the Vista Liners basepack:
Open the file 'Aircraft.cfg' with notepad (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\VL_737-200_BasePack\Aircraft.cfg).
Find these lines:
[SMOKESYSTEM]
// With permission - David Maltby's BAC 1-11 engine smoke effect vertically adjusted and renamed for the 737-200 //
Smoke.0= 0.0, -13.00, -17.00, JT8D-15_SMOKE_R
Smoke.1= 0.0, -13.00, -17.00, JT8D-15_SMOKE_L
Smoke.2= 0.0, -13.00, 17.00, JT8D-15_SMOKE_R
Smoke.3= 0.0, -13.00, 17.00, JT8D-15_SMOKE_L
Place '//' for each line like this:
