Project Opensky 737-800
review
The Boeing 737 is a popular medium-range, narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 was launched in 1994 as a replacement of the 737-400. Many new improvements like more fuel efficient CFM56-7 turbofan engines, increased wingspan, increased fuel capacity, higher MTOW, redesigned vertical stabilizer and glass cockpit with modern avionics are standard on all Next Generation 737s.
Project Opensky, is a freeware aircraft developer group that has been around for some time. They developed many aircraft models for FS2002 and FS2004, mostly Boeing aircraft. Their Boeing 737-800 is a highly detailed representation of its real world counterpart. A few of the features are: Realistic flight dynamics, many high quality liveries, special animations like a moving pushback truck and airstairs, realistic gear suspension, advanced lift based flexing wings, and more.
Later after the aircraft was released, project open sky also released a detailed soundpack for their 737NG series, it is on their site. The sounds sounds nice and it is detailed, interior and exterior.

notes
"As of December 2007, Project Opensky no longer supplies or supports files for the 737NG panel and virtual cockpits. Reason being is the creator of the files has left Project Opensky to form his own payware company, and at his request, all files have been removed and support for those files has been suspended. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on your flight sim experience."
So there is also no point in downloading the virtual cockpit versions, because those are using the gauges of the 737NG panel package.

Chris why does the project open sky 737-800 take up th whole rwy?on 08/18/2009 at 14:36:04
To answer such question, I need more info. How long is the runway you're talking about? Make sure you have set flaps and trim for takeoff.on 09/02/2009 at 17:51:44
Chris on landing it usually takes some yo slow dow on 9,000ft rwy it takes up 8,500ft of the rwyon 09/02/2009 at 19:02:27
That is true. Because of the gear animations, the autobrake doesn't work. So you're basically slowing down with thrustreversers only. Just brake manually to slow down in time.on 09/03/2009 at 10:35:32
what about the 747on 09/03/2009 at 12:46:56
Same for the 747 and 777. The 777 has an option to use the 777V2 Posky AutoBrake Panel v1. Never tried it, but I guess it makes the autobrake work some way.on 09/03/2009 at 14:12:05
