Perfect Flight - Fly The B717-200

review

The Boeing 717 was developed as a third-generation variant of the DC-9. Before the merge of McDonnell Douglas and Boeing in 1997, the 717 was marketed as the MD-95. The official designation is 717-200, the designation 717-100 had already been used for the military C-135/KC-135 family. Production of the 717 ceased in April 2006, after 156 units were produced. The 717 was the last commercial airplane produced at Boeing's Long Beach facility in the Southern California, the same building that the DC-9 and MD-80 were built in. The final two 717s were delivered to AirTran and Midwest Airlines on May 23, 2006.

Perfect Flight'sBoeing 717-200 is a simple model for FS2004 and FSX. Both the 2d panel and virtual cockpit are simple: some default gauges are used and low resolution textures. Only a few systems are simulated. The majority of the buttons and knobs in the virtual cockpit are not clickable. The main landing gear behavior is unrealistic. The wheels are floating above the ground on takeoff/landing and lack suspension. Also, the stabilizer isn't moving during trim. The sounds aren't that good either, especially the internal engine sound is a bit strange and unrealistic. The liveries seem ok, at least most of them. However, too much alpha layer is causing too much reflection. Anything positive about this package? Well, there is a passenger cabin modeled in the vc, but other than that, there isn't much reason to buy this package.

The thing i like about it is the radar thing that you can toy with when you are (if you even do) flying it!
