Freeware Flight Group Saab 340B
review
The Saab 340, originally designated as the SF340, is a twin-engined, short to medium range, turboprop airliner produced in Linkping, Sweden. The prototype first flew on 25 January 1983, while the first production aircraft flew in March 1984. The 340B introduced more powerful engines with improved hot and high performance, wider horizontal stabilizers, a higher max takeoff weight and more range. The 340B is powered by two General Electric CT7-9B turboprop engines and can carry 30-36 passengers over a distance of 935 nm (1730 km). Due to lack of sales and profitibility, the production of all 340 models ended in 1999, and Saab ceased all civil aircraft production in 2005.
The Freeware Flight Group developed a nice and simple Saab 340B. All animations seem to be accurate and the flight dynamics seem ok. There isn't much to say about this model, it's simple and frame rate friendly and it doesn't come with a panel, virtual cockpit or sounds. The default Beech King Air 350 panel and sounds in FS2004 (or FSX) are used.

Go to www.flightsim.com and search for the SAAB 340, it's in United Express Livery, and it should say something about working in SP2.Add a Comment
