Overland A300-600R
review
The Airbus A300 is a short- to medium-range widebody aircraft. It was the first twin-engined widebody and also the very first Airbus product. The first flight of the A300 took place in 1972 and the first production model entered service with Air France in 1974. Production of the A300 officially ceased in July 2007 although the last delivery was in June 1998. This was due to five orders from Iraqi Airways that remained on the books. Many different variants of the A300 are produced, of which the A300B4 and A300-600 are major production versions. A total of 858 A300s have been produced.
Simmer's sky is a label of the japanese company Overland Co.,Ltd. Along with a few other products, they sell the Fly into the sky! package, which contains many Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The Airbus and Boeing models are also available as separate packages named Airbus Edition and Boeing Edition
Their Airbus A300-600R is a beautiful designed aircraft. It comes with 3 liveries: China Airlines, Korean Air and China Eastern. The 2d panel and the virtual cockpit are quite simple and look very much like the CLS A300-600R, there are only a few minor differences. Unlike the CLS A300-600R, the Overland A300-600R doesn't have a sound package, as all of their aircraft in the package. By default, it is using the b737-400 default sound. Only the most important systems are simulated.
The flight dynamics are not so great: the climb performance is extreme, which is not realistic at all. Also, the ground effect is minimal, which can result in bumpy landings due to the little effect of the flare.
